Overview
Finishing Touch Commercial Cleaning seeks an experienced Safety Director to lead and oversee workplace safety in the DMV and Richmond, VA. The role ensures safety policies are implemented across all job sites in compliance with regulations and reports directly to the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support a team of field professionals across all projects.
Develop and maintain a proactive safety culture that promotes accountability at all levels.
Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
Identify potential or existing hazards through field observations; recommend and enforce corrective actions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety logs, records, and documentation.
Ensure all job sites are equipped with required safety signage and equipment.
Serve as the primary liaison during OSHA or third‑party safety inspections.
Develop and deliver job‑specific safety plans in coordination with Superintendents and Project Managers.
Provide regular safety training and toolbox talks to employees.
Stay current on best practices and regulatory changes to keep training materials up to date.
Foster and maintain positive relationships with General Contractors, clients, subcontractors, and field personnel.
Attend and contribute to project and safety coordination meetings as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of construction‑related safety experience.
BCSP certification required (e.g., CHST or CSP).
Proficient in OSHA standards; OSHA 510 certification preferred.
First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire).
Training in fall protection, and AWP/MEWP safety practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Proven experience in delivering employee safety training.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
U.S. Citizenship.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
Flexible availability to adjust schedule based on job site needs and project timelines.
Effective communicator and confident presenter in training and group settings.
Compensation
$100k - $120k base salary, based on experience.
Annual bonus based on company performance.
Company vehicle.
Fuel card for company‑related mileage.
