An established biotech company in the Boston area is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join their team. In this business-critical role, the HRBP will have the opportunity to translate business strategy into effective HR programs and services in a highly competitive landscape, all while ensuring the company continues to enhance their sought-after and unique culture. The HRBP will develop and cultivate relationships with functional leadership and provide counsel on a full range of HR business areas including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organizational planning. Responsibilities Advise and work with leaders to align business strategy and plans; interpret and activate the HR support required to deliver those plans. Inspire trust and confidence from HR and business colleagues alike. Seek out and analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to business leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation. Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning. Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs. Ensure appropriate mechanisms are in place to support a positive culture and employee relations environment across the organization. Create and maintain a high-performance culture of accountability and results orientation linking organizational and employee performance.

Qualifications

BA/BS in business administration or human resources. Advanced degree preferred. 68 years of HR and HRBP experience within the life sciences industry. The ability to thrive in a fast paced, innovative and performance-driven environment. Proven ability to develop high levels of credibility and develop strong professional relationships. Willingness to proactively identify issues and make the appropriate recommendations, and/or take the appropriate action to get things done. Proven ability to drive and enhance company culture. Track record of applying strong analytical skills including financial acumen and budget management to enhance decision-making. High energy level; comfortable multi-tasking and performing multifaceted projects. Ability to exhibit strong tact, diplomacy, and discretion. Must be a highly effective listener and problem solver. Excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate across a variety of audiences including colleagues, leaders, customers, and senior management. Effective coaching skills to develop senior leaders and improve business performance.
