About the role The TCAR Area Director is a senior commercial leader responsible for driving TCAR adoption and revenue growth across the PI division. Working in close partnership with Area Vice Presidents (AVPs), Regional Sales Directors (RSDs), Area Managers (AMs), and Therapy Development Managers (TDSs), this role blends sales leadership, clinical expertise, and strategic account management. The Area Director will accelerate TCAR adoption, establish Centers of Excellence, and deliver superior patient outcomes while building strong physician and hospital partnerships.
Your responsibilities will include
Collaborate with AVPs and RSDs to identify TCAR growth opportunities and execute adoption strategies.
Coach and mentor new Area Managers to accelerate productivity and shorten time-to-impact.
Build and strengthen relationships with Area Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to leverage vascular expertise across Boston Scientific and the vascular surgeon community.
Drive growth in key accounts by working in the field with representatives to uncover opportunities.
Partner with Area Managers and Therapy Development Specialists to streamline resources that enhance patient education and awareness.
Oversee TCAR case coverage across the Area to minimize friction for Regional Managers and ensure seamless execution.
Lead efforts to establish TCAR Centers of Excellence within hospitals and health systems.
Provide clinical expertise and serve as a trusted TCAR advisor to physicians and hospital staff.
Represent Boston Scientific at conferences, workshops, and training events.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or related field (preferred).
Minimum of 7 years of medical device sales experience, ideally in surgical or hospital settings.
Preferred qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years of direct TCAR experience in both sales leadership and clinical environments, with demonstrated success in sales growth, market development, and KOL engagement.
Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and building strong physician relationships.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and strategically.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Salary and benefits
The anticipated annualized base amount for this full‑time position will be
$150,000 to $180,000 , plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non‑discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as core and optional benefits offered at BSC. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training.
