Requirements & Qualifications
B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university
5–7 years of progressive experience in public accounting or financial management, including supervisory or department head roles
Strong knowledge of general and accrual accounting principles
Excellent math, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Proven experience managing teams and supervising staff
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules
Must pass background and credit check
Preferred Background & Skills
CPA or MBA
Venue, hospitality, or entertainment industry experience
Proficiency with ADP payroll, AXS ticketing, NetSuite accounting, Coupa, and Microsoft Office
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Lead all financial, accounting, purchasing, and internal control operations for the venue
Supervise Finance Department and Box Office employees, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations
Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial statement preparation
Review and manage contracts, event settlements, vendor agreements, and financial reporting
Analyze financial performance, cost structures, and recommend actions for business success
Collaborate with department managers on annual budget development, forecasting, and compliance
Ensure accurate and timely tax filings, audit preparation, and risk management coordination
Address staff development, performance appraisals, and HR-related matters in partnership with Human Resources
