Director Of Finance Requirements & Qualifications
B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four‑year college or university
5 to 7 years of experience in public accounting and/or financial management at a supervisory or department head level
Extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting
Excellent math, communication, and organizational skills
Demonstrated effective supervisory and team management abilities
Must pass background and credit checks as required
Willingness to act as Manager on Duty, including nights and weekends
Director Of Finance Preferred Background & Skills
Experience with ADP payroll and NetSuite accounting systems
Prior experience in the sports, entertainment, or venue management industry
CPA or MBA credentials
Strong business partnering ability across departments
Director Of Finance Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Lead and manage all Finance and Box Office department staff
Oversee daily financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, purchasing, payroll, and risk management
Ensure compliance with management contracts and internal controls
Review contracts for events, clients, subcontractors, and concessions
Supervise financial aspects of ticket sales, box office operations, and food and beverage accounting
Manage event settlements, prepare show income/loss reports, and oversee payments to promoters
Develop and implement financial reporting, including monthly statements, annual budgets, and audit materials
Analyze financial performance and recommend actions to meet business goals
