Phlebotomist Compensation

Pay: $17.50/hr

Phlebotomist Highlights

• 13-week contract, Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM, no weekends

• On-site outpatient laboratory in Detroit, MI

• High-volume lab environment: 30–60 patients per day

• Comfortable with large draws and using straight needles (no butterfly needles)

Phlebotomist Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory activities including patient receiving, venipuncture, and computer data entry

• Complete lab clinical functions under general supervision

• Manage high patient volumes efficiently

• Adhere to specified procedures and safety protocols

Phlebotomist Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required

• 6 months–1 year of venipuncture experience required

• Completion of Medical Assistant or Certified Phlebotomy training program preferred

• Must have a xrczosw valid, unrestricted Michigan Driver's license and be insurable

• Comfortable performing large draws and high patient volume

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous computer experience preferred

• Experience in outpatient or high-volume lab settings
