Senior Cloud Enablement Engineer (California)
– Join us to lead development and deployment of cloud infrastructure and enablement tools supporting software engineering teams. You will blend hands‑on technical work with strategic guidance to optimize cloud environments, enhance developer experience, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
Accountabilities
Implement AWS cloud standards for infrastructure, networking, and software components, optimizing for security, scalability, and cost.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are optimized for deployment in an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environment.
Develop and maintain automation, deployment processes, and IaC pattern libraries to enhance developer self‑service and efficiency.
Implement monitoring, logging, and security solutions to ensure cloud platforms operate reliably and meet compliance requirements.
Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and security issues across cloud environments.
Contribute to developer training, documentation, and support to promote autonomy and best practices.
Participate in on‑call rotations to provide operational support for internal developer services.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
6–8 years of experience with AWS Cloud Services or developer experience tooling.
Strong hands‑on experience with AWS technologies, PaaS offerings, and distributed systems.
Proficiency in Go, Python, or Bash, and experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or GitHub.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
Expertise in enabling and troubleshooting containerized workloads (ECS, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes).
Strong communication skills, problem‑solving ability, and attention to detail.
At least one associate‑level AWS certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
Preferred: experience with serverless technologies, multi‑region deployments, and gathering developer feedback to enhance platform experience.
