Job Summary The
Hogan Software Engineer
will provide technical expertise, enhancements, and production support for the Bank’s
Hogan Ecosystem . This role involves improving system performance, maintaining stability, and developing software and procedures that enhance data processing capabilities. The engineer will work closely with management, business users, and other technical teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
System Enhancement:
Evaluate and enhance department systems, processes, and applications. Develop modules, test plans, and design materials while estimating new feature implementation timelines.
Analysis:
Collect and analyze user requests, define project scope, estimate time and impact, and review specifications and test plans for accuracy.
Business Support:
Provide technical support for production systems by resolving reported issues and ensuring continuous system functionality. Prepare technical documentation and system designs for operational and end‑user reference.
Technical Expertise:
Contribute to the full
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
by designing, developing, and evaluating software solutions. Act as a technical resource for management and business units.
On‑call Support:
Participate in a 24/7 on‑call support rotation to maintain system uptime and reliability.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree and
4+ years
of experience in software application development and maintenance -OR- High School Diploma/GED and
8+ years
of relevant experience.
Expertise in
Mainframe ,
COBOL ,
JCL , and
Hogan (CIAS, IDS, DDA, TDA, Client, Umbrella) .
Strong understanding of
System Development Life Cycle
(Waterfall and Agile).
Nice‑to‑Have Experience
Experience working with
ServiceNow
or similar IT ticketing systems.
Debit and Credit Card
systems experience.
Familiarity with
JIRA
and agile project management tools.
Required Skills
COBOL programming.
JCL and Mainframe operations.
Hogan Ecosystem (CIAS, IDS, DDA, TDA, Client, Umbrella).
Preferred Skills
CICS transaction processing.
ServiceNow or ITSM tools.
Agile/Waterfall SDLC methodologies.
JIRA or similar project tools.
Additional Skills
24x7 On‑Call Rotation Support.
Technical documentation and system design.
Cross‑functional collaboration.
