Regional Business Director – Specialty Chemicals (Gulf Coast)
Location:
Baton Rouge, Corpus Crete, Houston or Golden Triangle
Schedule:
Work-from-home or office, travel to client sites
Bonus:
25–30% individual and company based; additional incentives as they grow.
Travel:
Approximately 50% within the region

What You’ll Be Doing
Launch and execute the regional market entry strategy for a specialty chemicals business serving refineries and industrial facilities
Identify, develop, and close new customer opportunities while expanding existing relationships
Represent the company’s chemical solutions and technical service capabilities in customer meetings and industry engagements
Oversee safe, compliant execution of chemical services in refinery and industrial operating environments
Partner with technical and product teams to align chemical programs with customer performance objectives
Hire, train, and lead a high‑performing team across business development, technical field service, and operations
Establish a strong safety‑first, customer‑focused culture across the region
Own full regional P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategy, and margin performance
Track operational and financial KPIs, adjusting strategy to drive profitable growth
Report regional performance to senior leadership and contribute to broader growth initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline
8+ years of experience in specialty chemicals, industrial services, or process‑driven industries
Strong operational background with hands‑on experience working inside refineries or petrochemical facilities
3+ years of regional or business‑unit leadership with direct people management and P&L ownership
Demonstrated success growing a business and leading technical, field‑based teams
Preferred: MBA or formal business training, experience launching a new region or business line, established refinery or downstream industry relationships
