Vice President of Southeast Operations – Turnkey Industrial Mechanical Construction (Process Piping & Specialty Welding)
Gryphon Oakwood are currently working with a well-capitalized, rapidly growing national industrial mechanical contractor, who are searching for a Vice President of Southeast Operations. This individual will assume full responsibility for leading and scaling a multi-state regional platform focused on process piping, specialty welding, and self-perform industrial mechanical construction.
This is a true P&L leadership role with direct influence over strategy, execution, staffing, safety, and long-term regional growth.
Qualifications
15+ years in industrial mechanical construction
Senior leadership experience at Director, VP, or Regional Manager level
Deep technical expertise in Process Piping, Specialty Welding, Industrial Mechanical Systems
Proven experience leading $50M–$250M+ in annual regional revenue and multi-project portfolios across multiple states
Industry experience across Chemical & Petrochemical, Power Generation, Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, Oil & Gas / Energy Transition
Strong background in Capital Construction (Greenfield and Brownfield), Turnarounds & shutdowns, Live plant environments, Safety-driven culture, Self-perform construction organizations
Responsibilities
Full P&L ownership for Southeast regional operations
Oversight of all Field construction operations, Project execution & controls, Fabrication & specialty welding, Safety, quality, and productivity performance
Lead delivery of Process Piping Systems, High-spec & Exotic Alloy Welding, Industrial Mechanical Installations, Shutdowns, Turnarounds & Capital Projects
Build, develop, and retain Project Managers, Superintendents & Field Leaders
Partner with executive leadership on Regional growth strategy, Market expansion, Key client relationships
Support preconstruction, constructability reviews, and pursuit strategy
Drive operational consistency, systems, and best practices across the region
