Job Description At Regions, the Head of Corporate Banking & Wealth Management Technology acts as the primary senior leader for key business or functional units, providing comprehensive technology leadership, strategy, and execution. This leader is accountable for understanding and influencing business unit strategy relative to technology enablement, directing multiple development teams supporting different capabilities, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, reliable, and efficient, and providing first-line technology risk management to ensure safe and sound operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Acts as primary senior liaison to the Corporate Banking and Wealth Management departments, engaging as a member of the senior leadership team under the business/functional unit executive leader.
Develops and maintains technology strategy and roadmaps that support execution of corporate and the Corporate Banking and Wealth Management departments’ strategic plans.
Leads all activities related to the design, development, implementation of the business/functional unit(s) applications development and analysis function.
Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for policies and procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
Ensures that the Corporate Banking and Wealth Management departments’ application portfolio is operational, stable, reliable, meets current business requirements and is at an appropriate level of technical maturity.
Manages all aspects of system design, development, deployment, acquisition, and ongoing maintenance for all application systems managed by the Technology Department in support of the Corporate Banking and Wealth Management departments’ operations.
Creates and refines operational processes and systems to ensure effective audit and regulatory compliance.
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. It is incentive eligible and is a single incumbent position.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
Fifteen (15) years of progressively responsible experience in Software Engineering, DevSecOps, and various methodologies including Agile.
Seven (7) years of supervisory/managerial experience leading scaled teams (100+ resources).
Preferences
Prior banking experience.
Experience leading at least one core platform replacement.
Skills And Competencies
Ability to effectively manage staff.
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional project teams.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills.
Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, including conflict resolution skills.
Understanding of technology used in application delivery.
Preferred Experience Includes
Corporate Banking and/or Wealth Management line of business exposure.
Payments experience would be an added plus for the role.
Compensation Details Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors that directly impact pay for individual associates include experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location, and performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
Target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position. Minimum: $275,778.25 USD Median: $408,390.00 USD Incentive Pay Plans: This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance. Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
