Our client, a growing Real Estate investment / Financial Services firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting across a diverse portfolio. This role will partner closely with property management, asset management, and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for real estate entities
Perform general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Manage accounting for acquisitions, dispositions, and new entity setups
Oversee fixed assets, depreciation, and capital expenditure tracking
Assist with cash management, intercompany transactions, and consolidations
Support monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate reporting
Assist with audit requests and coordinate with external auditors
Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
4–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in Real Estate or Financial Services
Public accounting and/or real estate industry experience preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with property-level and entity-level accounting
Proficiency with accounting systems (Yardi, MRI, or similar preferred)
Advanced Excel skills
CPA or CPA-track a plus
