U109 Material Control Specialist B - 1st Shift - R10214699
Northrop Grumman invites you to join the Mission Systems Organization as a Material Control Specialist B supporting engineering development, manufacturing, and calibration. This position is located in Halethorpe, Maryland.
Responsibilities
Utilize legacy and advanced computerized production, inventory, and material control systems to prepare and plan requirements and schedules, correlating information from various departments and analyzing cost and schedule impacts.
Process and reconcile orders, schedules, and status reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy while resolving issues with appropriate personnel.
Develop plans and requirements into specific tasks, provide instruction to lower classified personnel, and monitor status to suggest improvements.
Participate in program/production control meetings, configuration control board meetings, and other meetings to provide job status, scheduling, cost data, and to assess engineering changes.
Maintain awareness of schedules and procurement authorization for critical purchased and self‑manufactured items, supporting Lean Manufacturing programs.
Must participate in Northrop Grumman training as required.
Qualifications
Associate Degree or 60 credit hours, including at least 9 credit hours in Math, Science and/or IT courses.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
