Position Overview Our client is seeking a strategic, results‑driven
Associate Chief Pharmacy Officer (ACPO), Ambulatory Care Services & Executive Director
to provide enterprise‑wide leadership for ambulatory pharmacy services across the health system.
This executive leader is responsible for optimizing
clinical quality, patient outcomes, operational performance, and financial sustainability
across a broad ambulatory portfolio, including specialty and retail pharmacy, infusion services, medication access, 340B compliance, supply chain, IT, and education programs.
The role partners closely with executive leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary stakeholders to advance innovative ambulatory pharmacy models that align with evolving reimbursement structures and patient care needs.

Key Responsibilities Enterprise Leadership & Strategy
Provide executive oversight of ambulatory care pharmacy services across clients Health System.
Lead specialty pharmacy, retail pharmacy operations, non‑oncology infusion pharmacy services, and central medication access.
Identify and develop new ambulatory pharmacy business opportunities; lead business planning to support revenue growth and evolving reimbursement models.
Advance the clinical role of ambulatory care pharmacists to improve disease management and patient outcomes.
Oversee initiatives to manage and optimize employee prescription benefit costs.
Clinical, Financial & Operational Excellence
Ensure positive clinical, quality, safety, financial, and customer service outcomes across all ambulatory pharmacy services.
Lead ambulatory pharmacy supply chain strategy to ensure reliable access to medications and services.
Oversee ambulatory pharmacy information technology initiatives to support operational efficiency and patient care.
Ensure full regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and 340B program integrity.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, nursing leadership, healthcare teams, and internal/external stakeholders.
Actively participate in medical center and medical staff committees.
Collaborate with pharmacy executive leadership to achieve departmental and organizational priorities.
Provide comprehensive human resources leadership including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, and retention.
Support professional growth of pharmacy leaders and staff.
Oversee pharmacy education and training programs, including postgraduate education.
Serve as a preceptor for learners and provide education on healthcare trends and their implications.
Qualifications Education
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
– required
Master’s Degree
(Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field) – preferred
Experience
10+ years
of progressive pharmacy leadership and management experience
5+ years
leading implementation of new pharmacy programs, services, or business initiatives
Experience within
ambulatory care, specialty pharmacy, infusion services, or academic medical centers
strongly preferred
Salary Range
Base Pay:
$107.09 – $192.76 per hour
$222,000 – $401,000 annually
(based on a 40‑hour work week)
Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications and includes a comprehensive executive benefits package.
