This individual should have years of previous experience as a technician. Indel Power Group is a distributor/dealer for major brands such as
MTU , Daimler/Mercedes, Perkins, PSI Engines, Detroit Diesel, Kohler, Cummins, Caterpillar, and Volvo Penta. Joining the service team will provide you with a rewarding work environment, excellent pay and benefits, and an opportunity for advancement.
Key Responsibilities
Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls
Commitment to safety and cleanliness
Maintain open communication with management team regarding job status, updates, and changes
Use low and high voltage load banks for testing and repair of generator sets
Determine corrective action through inspection of failed parts
Order replacement parts and services in efficient and effective manner
Perform electrical and mechanical repairs to the engine, generator, or components
Perform startup and commissioning on large genset units with automatic transfer switches
This position requires occasional driving

Physical Requirements Technician roles are physically demanding and require prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Occasional heavy lifting and pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds (or more) may be required. The Technician will frequently use hands to manipulate and grasp objects; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, stretch, or twist to perform repairs and inspections. Good vision to inspect repair work and effective communication are essential. Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present. A technician may work in areas with temperature and/or humidity extremes.
