Base pay range: $166,400.00/yr - $176,800.00/yr
Title: SAP Functional Lead
Pay: $80-$85 per hour / $166,400- $176,800 salary
Location: Bellevue, Washington 98004, United States
Duration: 12 months
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Functional Consultant to support the PSE 2030 project portfolio, with a focus on Device Management and Complex Billing related to Distributed Energy Resources (DERs). This role will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing and configuring SAP IS-U solutions, and supporting testing and implementation across multiple DER initiatives.
Project Scope Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) include small‑scale generation and energy assets such as distributed solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle (EV) charging, located on the distribution system below the substation level. These solutions support grid reliability, customer programs, and evolving energy demand strategies.

Demand Response programs for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers
Fleet EV programs and EV depot enablement
Billing Standardization and Audit
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP IS-U functional designs
Configure and support SAP IS-U Device Management for DER‑related assets, meters, and devices
Configure and support SAP IS-U Billing for complex billing scenarios and specialized tariffs
Enable accurate meter data processing and billing for DER programs
Support implementation of time‑varying rates (TVR) across customer programs
Support fleet EV and EV depot billing use cases
Participate in functional testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership
Support billing standardization efforts and audit readiness initiatives
Provide functional documentation and post‑go‑live support as needed
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands‑on experience as an SAP IS-U Functional Consultant
Expertise in Device Management and/or Billing & Invoicing
Experience supporting complex billing scenarios and specialized rate structures
Familiarity with DER programs, renewable energy, or utility customer programs
Experience with time‑of‑use or time‑varying rates (TVR) preferred
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced project environment
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
