Cornerstone Defense, in partnership with our military, intelligence, and civil government customers, supports U.S. operations worldwide through the use of many different types of intelligence, satellite, and cyber technologies. Cornerstone’s Intelligence Sector provides solutions to the United States Government for information collection, operations, exploitation and dissemination, and research activities. Our team specializes in software development, cloud architecture, systems and network engineering, systems integration, agile management, as well as targeting operations and intelligence analysis. We support cyber network operations, exploitation and defense, signals intelligence, human intelligence, and critical missions and networks.

Responsibilities

Act as the lead Network Engineer in developing and implementing IT/network plans.

Manages network operations using SNMP network management tools.

Diagnoses and troubleshoots network problems with network protocol capture/decode analyzers.

Plan and build networks from OSI Layer 1 through Layer 3.

Manage TCP/IP internetworking connectivity to include addressing and subnetting.

Monitor network as defined in the network‑monitoring plan.

Install, configure, update, and document the physical cable plant.

Install, configure, and manage networking hardware (switches, bridges, hubs, concentrators, transceivers).

Install, configure, and manage network security (firewalls, public/private blocking).

Configure and manage virtual private networks (VPNs).

Assist the Systems Administrators as assigned by the Lead System Administrator.

Serve as the primary point of contact for network engineers from the Office of the CIO and other IT organizations external to the CAC laboratory.

Requirements

Current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering mathematics, and six (6) years of experience.

Eight (8) years of experience for a total of fourteen (14) years of equivalent experience can be substituted for a degree.

Six (6) years of experience with Cisco Catalyst switches and other Cisco network hardware.

Seven (7) years of intelligence community experience as a network engineer.
