As an on‑site Lead Network Engineer, you’ll take a hands‑on leadership role ensuring secure, reliable network operations supporting U.S. Government customers. You’ll serve as a technical authority, guiding network design, troubleshooting complex issues, and maintaining mission‑critical connectivity in classified environments.
Responsibilities
Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) to protect data and control access to classified networks.
Install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
Diagnose and resolve Layer 2/Layer 3, VPN, and VMware network issues.
Coordinate on‑site and remotely with users to configure equipment and troubleshoot connectivity.
Recommend performance and security enhancements that improve reliability and reduce costs.
Interface with senior management and vendor technical teams on network solutions.
Work independently or lead small technical efforts with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship (required)
Active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility
Bachelor’s degree (or 6 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
8–10 years of professional networking experience
Expertise in Cisco ISE configuration and troubleshooting, routing/switching, and firewall administration
Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 protocols and network design principles
Certifications such as CCNP or CCIE are highly preferred

Pay Transparency Statement AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee‑owners. The salary range for this position is USD $108,100.00/Yr. – USD $180,600.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
