Job Title Family Support Specialist (Family Stabilization Specialist)
Job Details Location: Roxbury, MA. Employment type: part‑time, flexible. Reporting to: Family Stabilization Specialist Supervisor.
Pay Base pay range: $20.00/hr – $23.00/hr. This range is provided by Children's Services of Roxbury, Inc. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Responsibilities
Conduct 1–2 weekly home visits with families to provide concrete support and coaching.
Collaborate closely with DCF collaterals and other providers to ensure coordinated care.
Support families in accessing education, employment, medical care, housing, and legal resources.
Provide advocacy and crisis support as needed.
Maintain accurate case records and documentation, including service plans, assessments, and progress notes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field; or 5+ years of direct case management or counseling experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Solid time management and documentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual capacity (English/Spanish or Haitian Creole).
Experience working with DCF or supporting families in crisis.
Culturally responsive approach and deep understanding of family systems and trauma‑informed care.
