Patient Care Technician – Emergency Department – 36 hrs Night
Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, MD is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician to support the Emergency Department during the 36‑hour night shift. This role is pivotal in providing compassionate, technical patient care under the supervision of nursing staff.
Shift & Location Night Shift – 36 hours – Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore, MD 21224
Responsibilities
Assist patients with changing/dressing and removal of personal items (jewelry, dentures, contact lenses, etc.)
Transport patients by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair to holding rooms and other areas.
Identify and report abnormal findings such as vital signs, lab results, EKG, and CXR to nursing staff.
Obtain vital signs and record clinical data accurately.
Verify patient information and orient patients and families to the environment.
Qualifications
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
BLS certification (American Red Cross, AHA, or Military Training Network) required.
One year of clinical experience or successful completion of an intern program.
Basic clinical skills to safely perform delegated patient care activities and use specialized equipment.

Salary Range Minimum /hour – Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for similar roles. Salary discussions occur during candidate screening calls before subsequent compensation discussions.
