Job description We are seeking an experienced Grid Integration Engineer to join our Engineering and Construction team. This role focuses on providing advanced technical analysis and modeling support for large-scale wind, solar, battery energy storage (BESS), and transmission/substation projects across the U.S.
Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise throughout the generation interconnection process and operational requirements
Collaborate with ISOs, utilities, and regulatory agencies to manage interconnections and ensure compliance
Develop and validate dynamic models in PSSE, PSLF, and PSCAD for renewable and storage projects
Conduct steady‑state, dynamic, short‑circuit, and other power system studies
Monitor evolving interconnection and IBR standards (e.g., IEEE 2800, grid‑forming requirements) and assess project impacts
Ensure regional modeling compliance and support reliability/economic studies
Develop tools and processes to improve system reliability and team efficiency
Prepare technical presentations, lead meetings, and represent the company’s interests with external stakeholders
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Strong knowledge of U.S. interconnection procedures across various ISOs, utilities, and transmission operators
Hands‑on experience with power system analysis tools, including PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD, Aspen, TSAT, or similar
Deep understanding of power flow, stability, voltage regulation, reactive power support, and related electrical engineering principles
Preferred Experience
Prior work on utility‑scale renewable (wind/solar/BESS) and transmission projects
Familiarity with evolving IBR standards and regulatory reliability requirements
