Director of Business Development (Paramus, NJ) Bus Company Holdings US, LLC (dba Coach USA), a motorcoach transportation company, is looking for a full‑time Director of Business Development with 3–5 years of experience. The role involves driving organizational growth, building and nurturing high‑value partnerships, expanding market presence, and aligning business development initiatives with the company’s long‑term objectives. The incumbent reports to the VP of BD.

Salary Range:

$80,000 – $125,000

Essential Functions

Create and implement strategies to find new business opportunities, enter new markets, and achieve company growth objectives.

Analyze market trends, assess competitive landscapes, and create innovative strategies to capture emerging opportunities.

Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, potential customers, and competitive threats.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry leaders.

Drive the sales process from initial contact to negotiation and closing new business deals.

Develop compelling content for proposals, presentations, and pitches to potential clients and partners.

Work with other departments, such as commercial, operations, maintenance, and safety, to align strategies and achieve shared goals.

Collaborate closely with executive leadership, sales, and marketing to ensure cohesive growth plans and represent the company at industry events.

Required Skills & Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in sales and business development.

3–5 years of experience in Business Development, transportation industry preferred.

Ability to develop creative solutions and long‑term strategies to meet customer and business needs.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure beneficial agreements for the organization.

Ability to interpret operational data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable plans.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build rapport.

Proven ability to cultivate and leverage a professional network to find opportunities and build partnerships.
