Team Overview The WWSO team helps customers adopt our newest and most advantageous technologies. We are technology specialists. The WWSO Startup team is dedicated to helping Startups scale quickly and cost‑effectively on AWS. We want Startups to grow better when they choose AWS and we make it easier by recommending the right technologies and then by helping Startups get up and running quickly.
This position specifically is part of the WWSO Startup team, where you will be a Specialist Solution Architect that helps Startups adopt AWS’ technologies with a focus on Amazon’s Container services, among others. You will 1) be the best storyteller and technologist, 2) work with the most promising Startups, 3) scale tech knowledge via products, programs, and the AWS Field, and 4) gather critical Startup feedback to inform our product roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
Interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as with developers and technical architects, to ease adoption, develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top‑line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships.
Become a trusted advisor within customer accounts through Technical Thought Leadership.
Develop and deploy programs that leverage AWS Field Solution Architect teams, and technology and consulting partner channels.
Deploy and operate workloads on AWS using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), AWS Fargate, Kubernetes, or other container platforms.
Collaborate with AWS Product and Technical teams to create solutions that solve customer problems, including reference architectures, patterns, automation, and release plans.
Guide and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts aligned to your domains. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them understand how to integrate new AWS solutions into customer architectures.

Basic Qualifications
7+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
Bachelor’s degree.
5+ years management of technical, customer‑facing resources.
5+ years of technical experience in cloud‑native applications and/or container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Docker, Mesos, and others.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers.
Cloud Technology Certification such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering.
Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑tech company, or experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround.
Advanced degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
Startup background and experience at a VC or PE‑backed firm in a Technical Executive capacity.
Familiarity with open‑source software used by Startups and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies common to Startups.
Proficiency with design, deployment, and evaluation of LLM‑powered agents and tools and orchestration approaches.

Compensation and Benefits Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200 per year in our lowest geographic market to $239,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
