Director of Finance We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of our hotel in Orlando, FL. As a key member of the Executive Committee, you will be responsible for safeguarding the hotel’s assets, ensuring strict financial controls, and providing the analytical insight necessary to maximize profitability in a high-volume, seasonal market.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, particularly within the Orlando landscape (including complex tax regulations and resort fee structures), and excels at balancing fiscal discipline with the needs of a guest-centric operation.

Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Strategy

Lead the annual budgeting process and develop long-term financial forecasts that account for Orlando’s seasonal demand cycles (Spring Break, Summer, Convention seasons).

Provide real-time financial analysis to the General Manager and Department Heads to drive GOP (Gross Operating Profit) and Flow-through.

Monitor and manage cash flow, capital expenditures (CapEx), and investment ROI.

Accounting Operations & Compliance

Oversee all accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and income audit functions.

Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI).

Manage state and local tax filings, including Florida Sales Tax and Orange County Tourist Development Tax (TDT).

Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure 100% compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.

Operational Oversight

Partner with the Revenue Management team to analyze RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy trends.

Conduct monthly P&L reviews with department managers, providing coaching on labor management and expense control.

Oversee IT and purchasing departments to ensure procurement processes are cost-effective and secure.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management (Master’s or CPA preferred).

Experience:

Minimum of 5–7 years of financial leadership experience in a full-service hotel or resort.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in hotel ERP systems (e.g., Oracle/Opera, M3, ProfitSage) and advanced Excel modeling.

Market Knowledge:

Familiarity with the Orlando hospitality market, including labor laws and local tax regulations.

Leadership:

Proven ability to manage and mentor a diverse accounting team.

Salary: Orlando, FL $160,000.00 - $180,000.00
