Vice President of Finance & Business Intelligence – Dermatology Physician Practice Management (PPM)

The Vice President of Finance & Business Intelligence ("VP, Finance & BI") is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing financial strategy, performance management, and enterprise analytics for a dermatology‑focused Physician Practice Management (PPM) organization. The role partners closely with the executive team, physician leadership, and operations to drive profitable growth, optimize provider economics, and enable data‑driven decision‑making across the platform.
Financial Leadership & Strategy
Serve as a strategic finance partner to executive and physician leadership
Lead enterprise financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range modeling
Develop and monitor KPIs related to practice profitability and provider productivity
Support M&A due diligence, valuation modeling, and integration tracking
Ensure financial controls, reporting accuracy, and compliance across practices
Business Intelligence & Analytics
Build and lead a scalable Business Intelligence function
Oversee dashboards and reporting for executives and physician partners
Collaborate with IT to ensure complete integration of data across critical systems (EHR, PM, billing, payroll, HRIS, and GL systems)
Translate complex data into actionable insights
Standardize reporting across acquired practices
Operational & Provider Economics
Optimize provider compensation and productivity models
Analyze practice‑level performance for margin improvement
Support payer strategy and reimbursement analysis
Provide insight into ancillary services profitability
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and develop high‑performing finance and analytics teams
Establish governance, processes, and accountability
Implement a forecasting & budgeting application
Foster a culture of transparency and continuous improvement
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
7+ years of progressive finance or analytics leadership experience
Healthcare services or physician practice management experience
Strong financial modeling and BI skills
Preferred:
MBA, CPA, CFA, or similar credential
Dermatology, PPM, or private‑equity–backed healthcare experience
M&A integration experience
Familiarity with dermatology EHR and PM system
