Job Description

The Banking Associate is a banking professional who delivers TD’s Brand promise at a store location. This role is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities Performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts and educating customers on all banking products and services

Delivers end-to-end financial guidance: building trust with educational content, providing consultative support, and offering proactive insights and recommendations

Uses TD systems and tools to engage customers, acquire and deepen relationships through advice and guidance

Identifies customer financial needs and promotes products/services or refers to the appropriate team member while ensuring a positive customer experience

Completes everyday banking transactions on teller lines or platforms, educating customers on products and tools or referring to the appropriate expert

Serves customers on teller lines and platforms, handling personal deposit accounts, debit/credit card issues, mobile and online banking

Connects with customers, provides financial advice, and deepens relationships through lead management activities and appointments

Education & Experience High school diploma or GED

1 year experience working with customers in any capacity (volunteering, education, or military experience considered)

Demonstrated Customer Service skills preferred

Ability to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled

Teller experience preferred

Required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire

Strong organization skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication skills and ability to be concise, clear and consistent

Problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize work

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines; sound judgment in decision making

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Notary License preferred

Customer Accountabilities Provides legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating and referring TD Products

Establishes and nurtures customer relationships with product knowledge and active listening to identify needs

Manages wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling and rescheduling client meetings

Acts as first point of contact for customer inquiries and resolves issues or sets appointments with experts

Supports the Bank's customer service strategy and TD Code of Conduct

Shareholder Accountabilities Ensures compliance with guidelines and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act) to minimize risk

Processes cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions accurately

Opens/closes accounts, services accounts, updates information, and handles routine requests

Maintains compliance with policies, procedures, controls, and audit/regulatory requirements

Performs customer authentication and acts as Dual Control agent when required
