Description Senior Associate – Transaction Advisory/Financial Due Diligence

Join our Global Transaction Advisory Group (TAG) in New York, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Nashville, Los Angeles and San Francisco. TAG provides private equity and corporate clients with buy‑side and sell‑side financial accounting due diligence. As a Senior Associate you will help clients get the answers they need to close deals.

How You Will Contribute Work on projects across industries such as manufacturing, distribution, consumer, retail, restaurants, business & industrial services, healthcare, software & technology, energy, and financial services. Gain exposure to an integrated due diligence approach that goes beyond traditional accounting analyses and focuses on key value drivers for sponsors and lenders.

Responsibilities

Assist with core financial due diligence, identifying key risks, evaluating the business against industry benchmarks, and supporting deal evaluation.

Analyze detailed financial statement information (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and operational data) and synthesize findings for management discussions.

Assess the quality of the target company’s earnings, net assets, and cash flows.

Build deal‑oriented reports and presentations that highlight financial, commercial, and other findings and support valuation and negotiation.

Meet target management and client personnel via calls and serve as a secondary point of contact for execution matters.

Build and maintain client relationships and contribute to business‑development opportunities.

Qualifications

2–4 years of audit and financial accounting due diligence experience at a top accounting firm, including at least 1 year in financial due diligence.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related major.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or currently obtaining one.

Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.

High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong project‑management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation & Benefits Base salary is $130,000 annually (dependent on experience and geography). A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Employees working 30+ hours per week are eligible for healthcare, flexible spending, savings accounts, life, AD&D, disability coverage, and a 401(k) plan with employer contribution.
