Description Senior Director – Transaction Advisory / Financial Due Diligence. This role is part of the Global Transaction Advisory Group (TAG), a leader in buy‑side and sell‑side due diligence, capital markets, and accounting advisory. The team works with private‑equity and corporate clients worldwide, providing integrated financial and operational insights for M&A and other transactions.

Team TAG professionals specialize in financial and accounting due diligence, global transaction analytics, and environmental, technical & sustainability advisory. The group operates in major U.S. markets including New York, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Nashville, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Responsibilities

Counsel and mentor employees at all levels.

Handle personnel matters, including career counseling and difficult situations.

Lead the team in client and lender conversations.

Manage and prioritize engagements and responsibilities.

Handle relationship matters with clients, with limited Managing Director involvement.

Manage multiple chargeable and non‑chargeable projects of varying size and complexity.

Identify potential transaction risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.

Act as a subject matter expert in technical accounting relevant to TAG.

Generate comprehensive due diligence reports.

Lead Quality of Earnings, P&L and Working Capital analyses.

Maintain day‑to‑day client interactions and emphasize A&M’s capabilities.

Ensure all client needs are met and manage client relationships.

Develop creative solutions to engagement and transaction risks and manage problem resolution.

Recruit, train, and develop individuals at all levels for TAG.

Participate in training initiatives and develop teaching courses.

Understand all TAG services and cross‑sell TAG and other A&M services when opportunities arise.

Adhere to risk management guidelines and engagement review memo procedures.

Coordinate conflict‑check information with Managing Directors.

Assist Managing Directors and Senior Director in sales and business development efforts.

Contribute to sales pursuits by generating new client business and expanding relationships.

Expand TAG market share within existing clients and increase non‑TAG purchases from A&M.

Identify and pursue referrals from existing clients and at industry conferences.

Appropriately manage engagement risk and potential client issues.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of financial accounting due diligence experience at a top accounting firm.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related major.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or in the process of obtaining one.

Working knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and purchase accounting.

High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong project management skills.

Flexibility to work as both a team member and an individual contributor.

Compensation Base salary is $225,000 annually, varying by education, experience, skills, and geography. A discretionary bonus program is based on firm and individual performance. Please contact your recruiter for details.
