Eaton Corporation is seeking a Vice President IT - EDGE Transformation & Services to join our team. This position can be based at the following Eaton locations: Beachwood OH, Moon Township PA, Fort Worth TX, Raleigh NC, Southfield MI or Milwaukee WI. Relocation within the country is only offered to the Beachwood, OH location.
Position Overview Reporting to the Vice President and CTO, this position will be at the forefront of our technological transformation, modernizing our capabilities into a platform that leverages modern EDGE capabilities, unlocking access to new ways of working and capturing gains in experience, speed and productivity. This role will be responsible for the strategy, vision, architecture, investment, and the primary driver of implementing and deploying AI‑forward Edge capabilities. These capabilities enable digital manufacturing and physical AI across the entire Eaton ecosystem through contemporary technology and platforms. Transforming connectivity from a commodity to a strategic function will be a key outcome. This directly impacts all of Eaton’s 100k+ employees and contingent workforce across 600+ locations via our focus on next‑generation Edge compute, storage and layered connectivity solutions.
Essential Responsibilities
Develop and execute a global strategy for EDGE technologies aligned with Eaton’s digital manufacturing and industrial/physical AI aspirations.
Lead, mentor, and engage a global, diverse team of approximately 70+ employees and contractors across Eaton’s global footprint to drive the Infrastructure and Edge strategies.
Influence the enterprise technology roadmap for infrastructure management, serve as the gatekeeper for the definition of implementable strategies for Edge infrastructure; drive the implementation of these strategies and deliver the initiatives on target, on budget, and on time.
Lead the modernization of edge infrastructure including compute, storage, and networking to support real‑time data processing, analytics, and AI workloads.
Establish and manage strategic partnerships with technology providers (e.g., AT&T, Cisco, HCL, Dell, MSFT) and ensure that we're building the right solutions with business outcomes as a priority.
Set the strategy to maximize the use and growth of the Edge platforms, while returning the required investment for the platform to the business.
Develop roadmap including investments in tools, technology, and training (onboarding of teams to their platforms). Ensure their platform offerings remain innovative and keep pace with changing external market conditions.
Partner with Eaton Cybersecurity organization to establish proper governance and best practices regarding Edge security and network operations. Lead Edge‑related components of the Zero Trust journey.
Partner with IT Support and Operations Teams and Leadership (SIS, GSC) to define, establish, and implement a strategy related to leveraging strategic technologies to preemptively identify end‑user incident trends and auto‑deploy solutions/fixes/updates via targeted campaigns to reduce, mitigate, and deflect tickets.
Establish a strategic model for APM and infrastructure monitoring and observability which is integrated into the Eaton Cloud Strategy to infer performance anomalies, automatically raise ITSM incidents, and build self‑healing into the organization’s cloud and infrastructure strategies.
Ensure high quality, on‑time delivery related to key platform modernization programs employee experience, productivity, and workplace solutions.
Collaborate with key business and IT partners across LOBs and functions to align technology and business priorities; negotiate and execute program improvements aligned with business strategy, service quality objectives and financial goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science or related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum fifteen (15) years of IT experience.
Minimum five (5) years of leadership experience in global environments.
Experience developing and executing strategies for EDGE technologies in global matrixed environments.
Experience managing a team of professionals and engineers in technology platforms and solution architecture.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $199,000 – $291,000 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
