Role Summary As an embedded DevOps engineer on the OTA Cloud team, you will design, develop, and maintain the full‑stack infrastructure that enables hundreds of thousands of software updates to reach customers reliably and consistently each day.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using Terraform/Terragrunt to provision and manage cloud infrastructure.
Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure deployment and management.
Manage and monitor live service systems, ensuring scalability and zero downtime.
Collaborate with software engineers and product teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues promptly and efficiently.
Stay up to date with the latest DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in DevOps or a related field.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform/Terragrunt.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
Experience with live service systems, including scalability and zero‑downtime requirements.
Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Datadog.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Kubernetes.
Experience with AWS.
Experience with GitLab Pipelines.
Experience with cloud cost optimization strategies.
Pay Disclosure Salary Range for Palo Alto Based Applicants : $186,000 - $232,500 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Salary Range for Irvine Based Applicants : $171,100 - $213,900 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies provides comprehensive medical, Rx, dental, and vision insurance packages for full‑time and part‑time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full‑time coverage is effective on the first day of employment; part‑time coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
