Workday Federal – HCM Solution Architect

What You Will Do:
Participate and lead in all stages of the GH+ Workday Methodology for implementing Workday HCM and Compensation.
Gather, document, and identify variances in industry‑leading practices for client business requirements.
Configure Workday to meet requirements and document solutions for future reference.
Support the client and data conversion teams in converting legacy data into Workday.
Support the integration teams in configuring and testing integrations between Workday and third‑party/custom solutions.
Assist the client in testing the Workday solution.
Transfer Workday system knowledge to the client to enable self‑sufficiency and sustainability.
Communicate regularly with the project manager regarding forecasting hours, time reporting, project risks, and mitigations.
Work with Workday Delivery Assurance to ensure compliance with checkpoints.
Advise clients on industry standards and leading practices.
Recognize business process inefficiencies and provide recommendations for improvements.
Lead junior consultants and ensure work quality.
Grow the Guidehouse Workday practice by leading the following: grow knowledge and skills as a subject‑matter expert in HCM and Compensation, provide guidance and coaching to peers, participate in proposals and business development, manage junior and experienced consultants, create workforce and staffing plans, set performance objectives, conduct reviews, recommend pay actions, set priorities for the team, and coordinate work activities with supervisors or managers.
What You Will Need:
US Citizenship (no dual citizenship) and must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD Public Trust security clearance; obtain approved adjudication prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
Bachelor’s degree with a MINIMUM of SEVEN (7) years of consulting or industry experience delivering ERP solutions; OR a Master’s degree with a MINIMUM of FIVE (5) years of consulting or industry experience delivering ERP solutions; ENOUGH experience can substitute for a degree (NO degree with a MINIMUM of ELEVEN (11) years of consulting or industry experience delivering ERP solutions).
Current holder of Workday Certifications: Core HCM, Core Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Scheduling, Absence Management, Recruiting, Talent/Performance, Learning, People Experience, etc.
Experience with the execution of at least 7 Workday implementations.
Deep knowledge of the touchpoints between Workday Core HCM and other HCM product areas.
Prior managerial experience in leading and supporting a remote workforce.
Ability to travel up to 50% to support client implementations.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong written and oral communication skills (RFP responses, white papers, etc.) and presentation skills such as Workday demonstrations and client presentations.
Previous consulting experience with a consulting/software company.
Previous experience with the operations and culture of government organizations.
Experience working in Federal Government Human Capital Management (HCM) environments with an understanding of the issues facing agencies today.
Experience implementing Human Capital Management systems.
Experience implementing Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, UKG, ADP, or similar applications.
