Mid-level SCADA and Industrial Control System Engineer WSP is currently seeking a Mid-level SCADA and Industrial Control System Engineer for our Washington, DC office. Be involved in projects with our Government Services Division team and contribute to a growing organization that meets client objectives and solves challenges.

Responsibilities

Manage and document system requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder needs.

Analyze system architectures and recommend improvements to optimize performance, reliability, and safety.

Conduct system integrations and evaluate performance to ensure compliance with specifications.

Assist in overseeing interface management and ensure compatibility between system components.

Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks that may impact project outcomes.

Apply proven systems engineering methodologies to resolve technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering or a closely related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience.

3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience in an engineering discipline and prior systems engineering experience.

Engineer in Training Certification.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and clients.

Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.

Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies, tools, and practices.

Capability to communicate professionally to engineering and non‑engineering audiences.

Effective self‑leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.

Proven record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to WSP safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.

Salary Expected Salary (U.S.): $117,000 – $143,100.
