Mid-Level Electrical Engineer
to join our Power & Energy team in
Houston, TX . Other locations considered: Seattle, WA; Hailey, ID; Boise, ID; Overland Park, KS; Atlanta, GA; Oradell, NJ; Mt. Laurel, NJ. The candidate will work on power generation projects as part of our Power Generation Team and contribute to a growing organization that meets client objectives and challenges. Your Impact Lead and support electrical engineer on design of power generation projects Lead and support electrical engineer on the design of renewable energy projects Lead and support electrical engineer on power plant and switchyard electrical system upgrades Lead and support electrical engineer on federal electrical system upgrades Mentor and teach junior engineers Project proposal and budget development Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering 3+ years of detailed electrical design engineering experience, including calculations and equipment specifications 3+ years of relay coordination and schematic design Engineer in Training Certification CAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software experience Proven safety record and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and harassment policies Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Engineering Essential Professional Licensure/Certification Experience leading a group of engineers is a plus 3+ years of detailed design engineering experience in generating facilities and/or substations 3+ years of owners engineering experience in generating facilities and/or substations Compensation & Benefits
