The University of Miami Health System, Miller School of Medicine is initiating a search for a Hepatologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor of Medicine level.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide direct outpatient care to Hepatology patients primarily at the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics.
Perform routine endoscopic services on Hepatology patients.
Provide inpatient care, on a rotating basis on an APP run Hepatology Service.
Participating in on call rotation.
Opportunities to initiate and participate in clinical research studies.
Teaching of residents and fellows.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
MD/DO Degree.
Internal Medicine residency.
BE/BC in Internal Medicine.
BE/BC in Gastroenterology.
BE/BC in Transplant Hepatology encouraged.
Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing).
Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements.
Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care.
