Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Worker's Compensation Claims Supervisor with 5-7 years of industry experience, including 2-3 years in a supervisory or equivalent leadership role. This position will oversee a team of adjusters handling medical-only, indemnity, and litigated claims, with a focus on compliance with multi‑jurisdictional WC regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor a team of WC adjusters, ensuring timely and accurate claim handling.
Oversee claims involving medical treatment, indemnity benefits, and litigation, requiring strong multi‑jurisdictional expertise.
Review and approve reserves, settlements, and claim strategies within financial authority.
Ensure compliance with state‑specific WC laws, including EDI reporting and excess carrier notification.
Collaborate with legal counsel, medical providers, and return‑to‑work coordinators.
Handle escalated claims and support resolution of complex files.
Monitor team performance, conduct audits, and implement process improvements.
Support onboarding and training of new staff.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
5-7 years of Workers' Compensation claims experience.
2-3 years in a supervisory or team‑lead role.
Strong workplace knowledge of multi‑jurisdictional WC statutes and procedures.
Experience with litigated claims, subrogation, and excess reporting.
Proficient in reserve management and EDI filings.
Active adjuster license(s) preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with claims systems such as Guidewire, RiskMaster, or similar.
