Overview

We are seeking a Data Center Site Power Project Manager to serve as the central coordinator bridging data center construction activities with power-generation operations. This role represents the Owner in the field, ensuring seamless alignment between construction teams, energy providers, and plant operations. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in thermal power plants and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with strong project management skills, proactive risk awareness, and the ability to thrive in complex construction environments. Responsibilities

Act as the Owner’s representative, coordinating between general contractors, commissioning teams, microgrid providers, and plant operations. Manage and align outage impacts with data center construction and commissioning schedules. Oversee schedule management using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools. Support change order management, ensuring documentation aligns with scope, budget, and schedule. Proactively identify risks related to outages, switching, startup sequencing, delays, or safety concerns. Track and support activities tied to outages, maintenance events, and equipment shutdown/startup sequences. Deliver daily field reports, delay notifications, and power-related status updates to leadership. Develop working knowledge of how power generation integrates with data center UPS, switchgear, cooling loads, and commissioning phases. Required Qualifications

Experience in thermal power plant operations, maintenance, or outage support. Direct involvement with plant outages, turnarounds, or shutdowns. Strong communication skills with confidence addressing trades, superintendents, and engineering teams. Ability to work proactively and independently in complex construction environments. Familiarity with generators, turbines, switchgear, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and industrial electrical systems. Strong organizational and reporting capabilities. Knowledge of safety practices including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and energized work zones. Experience with schedule management tools (Primavera P6 preferred). Familiarity with change order management processes. Preferred Qualifications

Background in data center construction (direct or adjacent experience). Understanding of critical data center systems: UPS, switchgear, transformers, generators, cooling loads. Experience supporting commissioning teams or startup/energization sequences. OSHA 30 certification. Familiarity with NERC standards and compliance requirements. Project management credentials such as CAPM or PE license. Experience coordinating between general contractors and energy providers. Optional but beneficial: Exposure to hybrid energy systems (e.g., solar or wind integrated with BESS). Compensation

$45/hr to $65/hr. Benefits
