Senior Project Management Consultant - Power Generation
Contract Position | $63/hour | 12 Months |Loxahatchee, FL 33470
Overview Our client is a leading energy company seeking an experienced Senior Project Management Consultant to oversee critical power generation projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge renewable energy initiatives while managing complex construction and maintenance projects in the power generation industry.
Key Responsibilities
Manage assigned projects ensuring compliance with budgetary, scheduling, and safety goals
Oversee construction work performed by contractors and vendors at project sites
Assess productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance
Coordinate project activities with vendors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and community officials
Lead scope control, budget oversight, and resolution of technical issues
Interface with landowners, local regulators, and state agencies
Supervise power plant overhaul/outage planning and execution work
Act as Owner Representative coordinating with vendors to execute contracted work plans
Ensure work is performed safely, with quality, and on schedule
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Land Surveying, or related field
11-15 years of experience leading construction projects in power generation
Minimum 7 years of generator maintenance experience in Power Generation industry
Experience with steam/combustion turbines, HRSG, boilers, or valve maintenance oversight
Proficiency with PM scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet)
PMP Certification preferred
Physical fitness to climb turbine decks, work in confined spaces, wear respiratory protection
Understanding of wind turbine construction and inspections
Strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities
