Innovation Manager – Corporate
Proskauer Rose LLP is seeking a dynamic and experienced Innovation Manager to lead the design, evaluation, and implementation of legal technology solutions that enhance the delivery of services across the firm.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a product and innovation roadmap aligned to business priorities and strategic goals across various practice groups.
Identify and champion innovative use cases that improve matter lifecycle management, knowledge reuse, client collaboration, and deal execution.
Act as a trusted partner to lawyers at all levels, including practice group leaders, to surface unmet needs and shape legal technology opportunities.
Liaise with cross‑functional teams including Practice Management, Procurement, Security, Knowledge Management, BD/Marketing, and IT Infrastructure.
Conduct interviews, workshops, and process mapping to identify current pain points and desired outcomes.
Translate user needs into clear requirements, user stories, and solution specifications for development or vendor configuration.
Evaluate legal technology tools through market research, demos, pilots, and RFPs; prepare product comparisons, ROI analyses, and selection recommendations.
Lead and manage pilot programs with measurable outcomes tied to practice goals.
Collaborate with Procurement and Security teams to complete due diligence, contracts, and risk assessments.
Oversee solution implementation and rollout plans, including testing, data migration, and integration.
Partner with training teams to create user‑friendly Quick Reference Guides (QRGs), videos, and onboarding sessions.
Identify and deliver automation, data capture, and workflow enhancements that streamline deal execution and reduce inefficiencies.
Support data‑driven decision making by developing performance dashboards and tracking adoption and outcomes.
Manage vendor relationships to ensure service quality, roadmap alignment, and value delivery.
Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor support escalations and enhancement requests.
Ensure tools and implementations comply with firmwide security, privacy, and compliance standards.
Qualifications
Experience working in a law firm setting and with lawyers; JD a plus.
Previous experience with M&A, Global Finance, or Private Equity desired.
Deep understanding of transaction processes and common challenges faced by lawyers and clients.
Experience evaluating and implementing legal technologies (e.g., deal workflow, document automation, data rooms, due diligence platforms, or knowledge systems).
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Strong project management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a high‑demand environment.
Growth mindset with a passion for learning, experimentation, and delivering value through continuous improvement.
Proven ability to work collaboratively across legal, technical, and business domains.
High attention to detail, ownership mentality, and the ability to see initiatives through from idea to implementation.
Compensation Anticipated compensation range: $150,000 – $180,000 per year. Actual salary offered will depend on qualifications, experience, and other factors.
Benefits and Working Conditions Physical presence required at Proskauer’s offices at least 3 times per week, or more as business needs dictate.
