Job Overview:
This onsite role in Miami, FL requires a Lead Software Engineer who will design, develop, and deploy cloud‑native mobile applications. The engineer will mentor a team, drive best‑in‑class patterns for Node.js, Nest.js, React.js, and oversee DevOps practices and continuous integration.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of mobile applications with APIs, SDKs, and cloud services on AWS.
Mentor and guide a team of engineers.
Drive Node.js patterns across the team, including Express.js and Nest.js.
Drive React.js patterns, such as high‑order components, error boundaries, and code splitting.
Perform code reviews and approve Git pull requests.
Provide oversight of support for existing functionalities by support engineers.
Lead code deployment processes, ensuring sufficient change testing.
Build relationships with business stakeholders, infrastructure teams, other IT teams, and vendors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related discipline.
7+ years of software development experience.
3+ years of experience in cloud computing (AWS or Azure preferred).
2+ years of lead‑level coding experience in React.js and Node.js.
Experience with microservices architecture and Agile software development.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skillsli>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Requirements
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.
Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha.
Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and efficient schema design.
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
DevOps mindset with CI/CD experience.
Familiarity with GraphQL and REST API design.
Strong foundations in computer science, data structures, algorithms.
