Job Location:

About the role This position requires an engineer with a strong Python background in performance test automation. The ideal candidate will design and develop automated test suites to evaluate application performance on Linux and build a Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD) framework to ensure quality and reliability of software applications.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement automated performance test scripts using Python to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Analyze test results with developers and engineers, performing bug fixes to enhance application performance.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand application requirements and develop effective test strategies.
Provide technical guidance on performance testing processes and standards throughout the test development lifecycle.
Maintain and enhance the performance automation framework, improving existing processes and extending the framework for load testing.
Develop comprehensive performance test plans and strategies to monitor and optimize application performance.
Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions to improve system performance.
Participate in CI/CD efforts, integrating testing workflows into continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
Document testing procedures, including test cases, results, and performance testing protocols.
Required Skills & Experience
3–7+ years of proven experience in automation testing with strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and performance methodologies.
Experience designing and developing automated test suites for Linux with Python.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency in advanced Python programming.
Linux OS experience (Rocky Linux 8.8+ preferred).
Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
Experience with load testing tools (LoadRunner, JMeter, etc.).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Experience using Jira to track and resolve test issues.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Squish/Squish Coco.
Experience with National Instruments (NI) PXI System.
Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
