Store Manager

Position Summary:
Under the leadership of the District Director, the Store Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day operations and management of the store and donation area. The role ensures efficient and cost‑effective operation through world‑class customer service, processing donated goods, quality control, and maintaining a productive workforce.
Responsibilities
Serve as the manager for all store operations, including opening and closing, and supervision of all Team Members.
Review and manage the store’s budget and the budget‑to‑revenue ratio.
Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and develop Team Members in accordance with GWH policies and procedures.
Maintain open availability to assist the store with management and leadership needs, including times outside the rotating schedule if required.
Adhere to the established rotating schedule unless directed otherwise by the District Director.
Communicate clear company goals daily, weekly, monthly, and annually to influence the team.
Partner with the Assistant Store Manager to create, prepare, and post schedules, review and approve electronic time sheets, and monitor labor hours.
Accurately complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash accountabilities at the POS registers and safe.
Execute GWH’s workflow by training, coaching, and documenting team member performances while assessing production progress on an hourly basis.
Prepare and administer personnel disciplinary actions and performance evaluations.
Complete and maintain work orders, purchase orders, supply orders, petty cash, and expense reports, ensuring timely submission.
Oversee the safety program, ensuring it is managed efficiently.
Accurately operate all store systems and complete financial and statistical counts, such as donor counts and production standards.
Ensure proper handling and processing of incoming donation flow in accordance with GWH policies.
Coach by walking around (CBWA) for approximately 80% of duty time to ensure team members meet minimum expectations.
Ensure timely rotation of apparel and hard goods in line with GWH policies.
Perform other duties assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (preferred).
Minimum of two (2) years of management/supervisory experience (preferred).
Minimum of two (2) years of retail sales experience (preferred).
Good computer skills.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holiday, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
Reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment The ability to stand, twist, bend, squat, reach, kneel, push, and pull. Able to lift up to 40 lbs, and occasionally items up to 100 lbs (e.g., large bags of donations, televisions, furniture). Must be able to stand for extended periods. The work environment is indoor with occasional exposure to outside temperatures. The normal noise level is moderate.
