Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Summary Responsible for overseeing all production phases, beginning with receipt of the cut order and ending when the trimmed cut lot is delivered to the Sewing Department. Responsible for maintaining and performing technical work on all cutting-related automatic equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Production Planning: Develop and maintain a cutting schedule aligned with the manufacturing Master Plan to ensure timely delivery of cut work that meets customer quality standards for the sewing department.
Performance Tracking: Maintain accurate records to provide upper management with essential data for evaluating performance, payroll, work progress, and other operational metrics.
Team Development: Conduct regular staff assessments and recommend training, coaching, and educational programs to enhance skills, motivation, and overall effectiveness.
Operational Excellence: Oversee cost control, inventory management, quality assurance, and production efficiency for all personnel, equipment, and materials within the department. Ensure optimal fabric utilization by verifying tightness, monitoring splice placement, and managing overruns at marker ends.
Vendor Management: When external capacity is required, collaborate with upper management to identify and maintain relationships with contractors or subcontractors. Work closely with the Quality Control team to ensure outsourced work meets company standards for quality, delivery, and compliance with local apparel production practices.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot technical and mechanical issues on automatic cutting equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Additional Responsibilities: Execute other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervise all staff within the Cutting Room Facility, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, and performance expectations.
