Job Overview The Product Manager role involves aligning business and technology stakeholders to develop and communicate a product vision, manage product planning and backlog prioritization, and ensure a sustainable end-to-end customer experience globally. This position reports to the Head of Design & Delivery and operates within the Development & Regulatory DD&T organization, supporting Global Development and Global Regulatory business functions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and convey product strategy and vision in collaboration with stakeholders, aligning with business goals and technology directions.

Communicate how the product meets the business priorities and goals of the organization.

Challenge existing processes and drive the adoption of AI to evolve products toward the future workforce and products.

Collaborate with product engineers and designers to support a modern product ecosystem.

Align with key stakeholders across business and technology to develop and convey product vision.

Own product planning, including short‑term release plans and long‑term roadmaps.

Drive prioritization of the product backlog to keep the team unblocked and aligned.

Work with partners in technology, data, and ecosystem to accomplish product goals.

Accountabilities

Solicits information from IT Business Partners or Business Stakeholders on direction, goals, and strategies to inform product strategy.

Collaborates with technology delivery teams to develop roadmap for new and ongoing product development.

Builds and maintains the product backlog with the technical team.

Continuously prioritizes backlog work to deliver the most significant value to users.

Facilitates and drives alignment among stakeholders to develop product strategy, vision, and roadmap supporting business strategy.

Works within the product budget to balance resources, vision development, and prototyping.

Maintains and communicates the product vision.

Monitors and refines the product and performs service management.

Optimizes user experience.

Core Elements

Functional knowledge of Clinical Trial Delivery processes and technologies.

Technical / Functional Expertise

Understands the language product teams use to conduct business.

Operates within core technologies, including AI or machine learning, when required.

Translates technical language into business language to bridge gaps.

Understands business processes supported by the product and communicates with R&D teams.

Requires understanding of clinical trial delivery processes, product management in pharmaceutical R&D, and the ability to bridge business and technical teams.

Leadership

Collaborates effectively with Product Engineers, Business System Owners, Solution Architect and other stakeholders to build a modern product ecosystem.

Present complex information clearly and confidently.

Strong communicator, able to convey both ideas and data verbally and in writing.

Decision‑Making & Autonomy

Evaluates and recommends the right technology platforms and software products to solve business problems.

Demonstrates decision‑making responsibilities within the team and function.

Interaction

Embeds with product teams to ensure transparency and timely updates on delivery status, risks, and scope changes.

Reconciles perspectives on product strategy and priorities into a consensus supported by all stakeholders.

Innovation & Complexity

Stays on top of new industry trends and identifies ways to apply new technologies to the product roadmap.

Conveys product vision, galvanizing enthusiasm and building support across stakeholders and ecosystems.

Education, Competencies & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, computer science, or business administration.

5+ years of professional experience in R&D business lines, IT service delivery or related area.

Professional in‑depth knowledge of product management in the pharmaceutical industry.

Experience in stakeholder relationship management and influencing key stakeholders and product teams.

Excellent oral and written communication, business acumen, and enterprise knowledge.

Understands design thinking.

Demonstrates strategic and critical thinking, problem‑solving, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Ability to set priorities, deliver on deadlines, and develop workflow processes in a dynamic marketplace.

Preferred Familiarity working in a lean and agile software delivery team, a proven track record of developing and exploiting deep customer insights, and proficiency in design thinking.

Base Salary Range $111,800.00 – $175,670.00
