Base pay range: $156,600.00 – $215,400.00 per year (subject to location and experience)
The Director, Business Systems Analysis leads the strategic advancement, optimization, and integration of systems and solutions that support healthcare provider operations. Acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and provider operations, the Director drives transformation initiatives that enhance provider experiences and streamline workflows, leveraging deep expertise in business systems analysis, lifecycle management, and healthcare technology trends.
Key Responsibilities
Execute a multi‑year strategy for provider‑facing systems, aligning with organizational goals and evolving healthcare industry standards.
Lead cross‑functional teams (including business solution architecture, testing, release management, and production support) to analyze provider needs and translate business objectives into solutions.
Oversee the design, selection, and implementation of scalable IT solutions to support provider enablement, ensuring interoperability, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.
Evaluate and enhance system performance, measuring benefits achieved and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner with executive leadership and provider business leaders to identify opportunities for innovation and operational efficiency.
Manage all phases of the system lifecycle—from business solution architecture through deployment, training, and post‑implementation support.
Foster innovation by piloting AI/ML applications to automate aspects of provider operations.
Cultivate a culture of excellence, accountability, and customer‑centricity within the Provider Systems Enablement team.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree.
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in business systems analysis within a large, complex technical environment.
Minimum 5 years in a leadership role overseeing diverse technical platforms (e.g., Data Service Layer, API Management, Oracle RDBMS, Mongo DB) and large‑scale system implementations.
Experience with Agile product development tools and methodologies (e.g., Jira, Azure Dev Ops) including SAFe and LPM.
Direct experience in healthcare technology and provider operations.
Proven track record in technical product selection, design, and practical implementation of IT solutions.
Curiosity to continually seek improvements and innovative solutions, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present to executive leadership and influence senior stakeholders.
Experience managing production environments and driving operational excellence.
Experience coaching, delegating, and building teams and talent.
Results‑oriented with the ability to deliver IT solutions on time and on budget.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP), data management and architecture, integration patterns with internal and external applications.
Work‑At‑Home Requirements
Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps; wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection is recommended.
Satellite, cellular, and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
Associates who live and work from home in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive a bi‑weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide home or hybrid‑home/office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Travel While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana’s offices for training or meetings may be required.
