Job Description Responsibilities:
Provide senior-level technical review and independent assessment of federal IT systems and modernization efforts.
Evaluate system architecture, design artifacts, and technical documentation for quality, risk, and compliance.
Identifytechnical risks related to system integration, performance, scalability, security, and operations.
Review and assess system changes, enhancements, and modernization initiatives; provide written recommendations.
Support technical risk management activities, including risk identification, mitigation planning, and reporting.
Adviseprogram leadership on emerging technologies, technical best practices, and modernization strategies.
Participate in technical review meetings, briefings, and change control discussions as needed.
Review IV&V reports and findings to ensure technical accuracy and clarity prior to delivery.
Support transition activities and knowledge transfer whenrequired.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Senior technologist who prefersoversight, evaluation, and advisory workover day-to-day development.
Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and documenting clear, actionable findings.
Detail-oriented, independent, and trusted to provide unbiased technical judgment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, ora relatedtechnical field.
10+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT systems in technical leadership, architecture, or oversight role.
Experience performing or supporting Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V), technical assessments, or system reviews.
Strong understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Agile and hybrid environments.
Experienceidentifyingand assessing technical risk in complex systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently and provideobjective, well-documented recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supportingfederal government IT systems, particularly in civilian agencies.
Familiarity with federal IT governance, compliance, or oversight processes.
Experience reviewing system documentation, test results, and operational metrics.
