Opportunity As our North America Accounting Director, you will report to the Sr. Accounting Director and oversee and improve our accounting operations across the JBT North American locations. You will collaborate with global counterparts to lead standardization and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development: Lead a diverse team of approximately 20 accounting professionals across multiple locations, encouraging a collaborative culture. Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, provide ongoing feedback, and create development plans.
Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting for North American JBT entities. Oversee the OneStream submission process, manage revenue accounting, and ensure compliance with US GAAP, JBT standards, and internal policies.
Integration and Transition Management: Lead the integration of legacy organizations into the Accounting CoE model, defining roles and collaborating with global leads for a smooth transition. Oversee SOX implementation and enforce controls and best practices.
Process Improvement and Standardization: Collaborate with CoE leadership to standardize and automate accounting processes, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
Strategic Financial Planning and Risk Management: Partner with senior leadership to provide insights on financial performance, address financial risks, and lead special projects related to accounting and finance, supporting BU finance teams with compliance and strategic plans.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
Minimum 12 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 7 years in a managerial role.
Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Experience ensuring Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) compliance.
Travel & Location
Hybrid model with approximately 10‑20% travel on a quarterly basis.
Compensation $130,000‑$220,000. Compensation is determined on experience and skill.
