Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Species harvested and processed by Trident include virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska. Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate FP&A, will report directly to the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Director and is a critical member of the Global FP&A Team.

The Senior Financial Analyst position is located at our Seattle Support Center and be responsible for Group level FP&A consolidation, financial planning, forecasting and analysis for supply chain finance, SG&A, and serves as finance partner for associated business and function leaders across the company.

This position requires expertise in financial modeling and analysis, a solid understanding of accounting standards (USGAAP and IFRS), and high proficiency in financial analysis and tools and ERP/EPM systems (Excel, Power BI, Anaplan or similar EPM, SAP or similar ERP).

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Business Unit finance teams, controllership, IT and PBI teams, associated business and functional leaders to drive process improvement, support strategic decision making and ensure accurate management reporting, financial budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.

Financial Budgeting and Forecasting:

Drive an efficient, effective, and comprehensive process for developing financial plans and forecasts, both short term and long term, that link to the strategic objectives for Trident Develop and monitor the annual budget and forecasts, which will include establishing budget tools, setting timelines, and acting as project manager ensuring all budgets are accurate, comprehensive, and completed on time. Partner with functional and sales leaders to develop an SG&A plan/forecast that meets the strategic and tactical goals of the company. Report and forecast operational productivity results and ensure action plans are being communicated to meet strategic and budget targets Partner with the engineering or business leaders to develop a capital plan that meets the strategic and tactical goals of the company. Track capital projects to ensure they are meeting deliverables and in compliance with company policies. Coordinate the capital budget process. Support the consolidation of corporate level Budget and forecast packages.

Financial Analysis and insights:

Prepare a monthly reporting package that includes comprehensive Key Performance Indicators, analysis of key operational trends, and actual versus budget variances Conduct in-depth monthly financial analysis cross business units and global subsidiaries, with focus on SG&A, Capex, Productivity, Inventory and other key financial indicators, identifies trends, variances, and potential risks, and provide recommendations for improvement.

Financial Partner for functional or business leaders across business units and global subsidiaries:

Partner with the operations team to understand and drive results. Provide financial clarity and identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and investment prioritizations. Coordinate the budget, rolling forecast process, and consolidate results on group level.

This is an exempt position with an annualized salary range of $95,000 to $150,000.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of progressive finance related experience, including experience in FP&A, Financial Modeling, accounting, preferred in manufacturing, or CPG supply chain setting. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and years of experience. Solid understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles. Proficiency in financial analysis tools, such as Power BI and SAP. Strong Microsoft Excel modeling and financial analysis skills, including volume, mix, and rate variance analysis. Analytical background and experience working directly in a finance environment modeling revenues, costs, and expenses and balance sheet movements. Preferably with FP&A consolidation experience. Experience with a Financial Forecast and Analysis system, such as Anaplan (preferred) or Workday Adaptive Planning, Planful, Cube, Vena, and Oracle Essbase, preferrable has go live or upgrade experience. Experience with an ERP system, such as SAP (preferred) or Oracle, preferrable has go live or upgrade experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior Financial Planning & Analysis (P&L, B/S, Cashflow, Consolidation) Experience. CPA or equivalent certification Experience working in a CPG/manufacturing environment. Go live or upgrade experience with a Financial Forecast and Analysis system, such as Anaplan (preferred) or Workday Adaptive Planning, Planful, Cube, Vena, and Oracle Essbase. Experience working in a multinational corporation Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This is an on-site position based at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time at a desk. Frequently required to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee will occasionally stand, walk, and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near vision for frequent use of a computer.
