The

Sales Director
responsibilities will include the sales of products (involving developing long-term strategic relationships with existing customers, identifying new customers / distributors, and solving customer problems at the site with optimum technical knowledge & prior experience of working with the chemicals sold). You will liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of products according to customer needs. This position will report to the VP Sales, and be a non-remote position, based out of Texas with travel to customer sites domestically, and otherwise travel to Corporate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for bringing in sales via converting new customers, distributors in Oil & Gas (O&G) segments.
Responsible for constructing and achieving aggressive sales goals in conjunction with the business strategies and marketing plans.
Uses extensive knowledge of customers’ total needs and product offerings to form account strategies and promote long term value creation.
Uses value added application knowledge to differentiate the company from its competitors and deliver premium value to the corporation versus general market returns.
Engage with customer engineering, operations, and procurement teams to identify pain points and develop application-specific chemical solutions.
Serve as the primary technical contact for customers — diagnosing issues, proposing treatment programs, and supporting oilfield trials.
Work with R&D and supply chain to ensure product integrity and resolve issues with formulation, sourcing, or application.
Deliver technical presentations, training, and on-site support as needed to ensure SOP adherence and optimize product performance.
Develops and builds multifunctional relationships with new customers, while maintaining exemplary relationships with existing accounts.
Identifying key decision makers and establishing long‑term relationships with customer counterparts.
Ensuring less than 20% deviation monthly on actual sales from that forecasted for optimized S&OP planning, and average holding days of FG across warehouses should be less than 30 days.
Recognizes, anticipates, and solves customer problems resulting in business opportunities and revenue growth.
Expands sales in current geography (North America), while also supporting sales in newer geographies on expansion.
Produces appropriate sales forecasts and can capitalize on and compensate for market changes.
Develops, analyzes, and communicates broad competitive intelligence for the territory and market segment(s) assigned.
Performs additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
B.S. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related science/engineering discipline.
At least
10/15
years of experience in a technical sales role with established network of buyers & decision makers within the oil and gas specialty chemicals market.
Proven ability to solve oilfield-related chemical challenges and provide hands‑on technical support.
Deep understanding of oilfield operations and chemical applications.
Experience utilizing a CRM platform to capture, action, and communicate opportunities.
Ability to collect, track, analyze, and communicate copious amounts of data utilizing Microsoft products.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (Hard hat, FR clothing, steel toe boots, and eye protection).
Must be able to lift twenty‑five pounds at times.
Ability to handle stressful situations and interact with multiple teams.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
Ability to work additional hours as needed.
Ability to conduct lab and office‑based work environment.
Ability to travel to customer locations, and industry conferences.
