About the Job Come join us in Firm Analytics, where we strive to unleash the full potential of data and analytics to address business challenges. As a Lead Data Analyst on our team, you will design, develop, and deliver actionable insights and solutions by applying statistical concepts and analytic techniques such as root cause, exploratory, sensitivity, scenario analysis, hypothesis testing, and economic modeling. You will combine data from multiple sources to develop innovative approaches and solutions to business problems, collaborating with business leaders and team members to build a cohesive story that informs enterprise decision‑making and influences strategic planning.

Responsibility Summary

Proactively identify opportunities where analytics can inform business decisions and long‑term strategy, performing root cause, exploratory, sensitivity, scenario analysis, hypothesis testing, economic modeling, regression, and data visualization to uncover patterns and insights on ambiguous problems.

Consult with business owners to understand problems and independently identify the appropriate analytic approach.

Merge, cleanse, and transform complex data from multiple sources; develop advanced logic to structure datasets for analysis.

Apply intermediate to advanced statistical concepts and validate logic and outputs against known sources.

Identify data quality issues and collaborate with subject‑matter experts to develop resolutions.

Lead the team to incorporate insights into a cohesive story that addresses business questions and influences decision‑making, communicating tailored messages to senior leaders.

Serve as a technical and functional data subject‑matter expert across a wide range of areas, understanding data relationships and flows.

Educate senior and executive leaders on analytical concepts and best practices.

Consult on data and analytic requirements for database development and system changes.

Participate in industry data and analytic communities to bring fresh ideas to the organization.

Maintain a strong understanding of firm results and key business drivers to inform analysis and strategy.

Document, monitor, and recommend process improvements related to responsibilities.

Identify efficiency improvements and cost‑reduction opportunities and drive implementation.

Bachelor's Degree required (finance, business, economics, data science, math, or analytics); advanced degree preferred.

7+ years of related analytical work experience, including experience with databases such as DB2, IDMS, Oracle, Hadoop, and NoSQL.

7+ years of experience with data manipulation languages (SQL, Impala, PL/SQL, Hive, Pig, XML) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros, VBA).

Advanced knowledge of statistical concepts and analytic techniques (forecasting, economic modeling, regression, machine learning, exploratory analysis, variance analysis).

Proficient with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or MicroStrategy.

Strong analytical, critical, and systems‑thinking skills.

What Could Set You Apart

Advanced degree or certification.

Financial Services industry experience.

Experience with statistical tools such as SAS, SPSS, R, or Python.

Compensation Salary: $117,000 Annually
