Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrates an exceptional positive member service focus at all times.
Resolves complex service problems or refers them for resolution to ensure member satisfaction and retention.
Provides proactive sales tasks of products and services and directs branch business development through outside calls, in-branch selling and targeted correspondence.
Builds relationships with members through follow‑up of services.
Ensures efficient branch operations through continual assessment and improvement.
Leads by example by originating new loans, new deposit accounts and all other services available to membership.
Monitors and reports branch activities in key performance areas.
Develops and recommends annual branch performance targets for the team and for individuals.
Coaches, guides and directs branch staff to proactively maximize sales opportunities related to retail deposits, lending and other services.
Promotes the professional development of branch staff through individual and group training.
Maintains a highly motivated, well‑trained staff, maintaining effective employee relations and encouraging regular performance updates and sales plans.
Responsible for branch staffing requirements; recruiting, vetting, interviewing and hiring new staff.
Oversees daily scheduling of branch staff and tracks overtime, leave, PTO, etc.
Prepares performance evaluations and related documentation for personnel files, in collaboration with HR to recommend necessary actions.
Maintains and adheres to all safety guidelines and credit union procedures, including confidentiality of member information.
Ensures compliance with all company regulations, industry policies and procedures.
Participates in community service organizations and credit‑university sponsored events on an annual basis.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Education
Three to five years of credit union or related experience, with at least two years of supervisory experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management or a related field is required.
Skills
High energy with the ability to engage individuals in conversations that successfully win business and open accounts.
Strong communication skills, including motivating, influencing, educating and advising others with accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong supervisory and leadership abilities to manage, motivate and develop employees.
Commitment to confidentiality and customer privacy.
Well‑developed problem‑solving skills and ability to develop alternatives.
Planning, organizing, implementing and interpreting programs, goals, objectives, policies, projects and procedures.
Conflict resolution and/or mediation skills.
Computer literacy: intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams.
Proactive in seeking solutions that benefit the member and the credit union, exercising sound judgment.
Abilities & Additional Requirements
Ability, availability and willingness to work flexible hours, including non‑traditional schedules with evenings and weekends.
Must be bondable.
Must be registered pursuant to the requirements of the S.A.F.E. Act.
Demonstrated community involvement and volunteerism.
